The Team

Dr Johnson

Dr Johnson

Dr. Johnson graduated from Iowa State University in 1995 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Masters degree in Immunology and Microbiology. She graduated with honors and was the recipient of many academic awards and scholarships. She grew up in California and attended the University of California at Davis for her undergraduate studies. She taught high school science in Carmel, California before meeting her husband, moving to Iowa and enrolling in veterinary school. After graduation, Dr. Johnson moved back to her husband’s home state of Florida and has lived in the Tampa Bay area. She has practiced since 1995 in St. Petersburg and Tampa. She currently lives in Carrollwood and loves having a practice so close to home.

Dr. Johnson strives to be a lifelong learner and loves all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. She is especially interested in chronic ear issues and dental health. She has 3 dogs that come to the clinic daily - Ella, Georgie and Suzy - and 3 cats at home: Oreo, Rascal and Optimus aka Thomas.

After graduating from veterinary school, she moved back home to Tampa, FL. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine (but admits she has a soft spot for kitties) and is always striving to learn more and stay up to date on the most current therapies.

In addition to spending time with her own furry feline friends, she also enjoys playing and listening to live music as well as travelling domestically and abroad.
